We are extending our 20th CuscoGracias loan to Nélida. We had the opportunity to get to know her and her family personally when we lived in Cusco in 2008-2009. She tutored our son, Tim, in Spanish. She was a high school student then, and now is working to complete her college degree in psychology. Given that we are friends with her on Facebook, we were able to write her a message and ask her to explain how she would be using the loan. Here is a rough translation (we did our best!):
"I am currently conducting research entitled 'Clinical Features of Personality in the Province of the Convention-District of Santa Ana, in the Cusco Region in 2014' This research will help me to get a BA in psychology and be able to graduate from college. The research is not in the city of Cusco, so I have to travel a lot. The Convention and expenses will be lodging, meals and related research. When I get the results of the research, I have to hire a statistician to process my results, then I will make payments to the university for the following: to enroll, research, the appointment of juries, and support research as it is approved. I will make the graduation payment and eventually pay for membership in the College of Psychologists of Peru.
